Updated: September 29, 2022

We are now accepting additional applications for two activities: "Research Activities" and "Presentation at International Conference". If you wish to apply, please check the application guidelines below and submit the required documents by the deadline.

The Takeo Yazaki Memorial Scholarship for Graduate Students to Study Abroad in the US was established to support, stimulate, and fund the study abroad and research of doctoral students in the United States with disciplines in the areas of sociology and history. Additionally, this grant will assist with expenses for academic presentations held overseas that are in the same areas of study.

As of today, we are accepting applications to this scholarship for the 2022 annual year. Please see below for details. Note that this grant is only applicable to the areas of sociology and history, but the department the students are enrolled to is not limited to those fields. Recently, as interdisciplinary research is becoming more commonplace, various areas of inquiry fall within the scope of this scholarship.
