Application Guidelines

Eligibilty

Online Application (AY2027)

Students must apply online for student exchange programs. Students can submit documents such as academic transcripts and certificates of language proficiency by uploading them through the website below.

Admissions Schedule(AY 2027)

AY 2027 Fall Cycle: September 7 (Monday) 2026 - 15:59 September 28 (Monday) 2026
AY 2027 Spring Cycle: May 7 (Friday) 2027 - 15:59 May 28 (Friday) 2027

・For the Fall application period, please obtain and upload the most recent Official Transcript of Academic Record that includes your Spring semester grades.For details on how to obtain an Official Transcript of Academic Record, please refer to the Student website.

・Please note that no certificates can be issued if tuition fees from previous semesters remain unpaid (including delays related to scholarship procedures, etc.). Even after payment has been completed, it may take several days before certificates can be issued.

・The schedule above is subject to change. Any updates or changes will be announced on the International Center website, K-Support, etc..

・The results of the internal selection process will be announced via K-Support. If you do not receive a notification by the announced release date of the selection results, please contact the office via K-Support (Inquiry content:04 International Exchange (Student Exchange Programs, etc.))

・The orientation and the Cultural awareness training are mandatory and intended exclusively for the selected students themselves. Absence, lateness, or early departure for reasons other than official academic commitments will not be permitted. Unexcused absence may result in the cancellation of your status as a nominated exchange student.

Internal Selection

Selection will be conducted based on the submitted application documents.
The selection process for exchange programs is conducted in a way that ensures fairness and that it is always optimal for applicants to register the partner institutions they really want to study abroad in the order of their preferences. Please enter your order of preference according to your real preferences. You will not be disadvantaged by the popularity of the partner institutions.

Upon screening, the listed points will be considered overall. The screening does not only focus on GPA and language skills.

Notes for Applying

  • The applicant him/herself must enter and submit the online application.
  • Make sure to follow all the instructions (e.g., full-width/half-width characters).
  • Make sure to keep a printout of your online application for your own records.
  • Applications or documents found to be incomplete or to contain errors may not be considered for selection. The university does not contact applicants even if any errors or omissions are discovered in the applications, so make sure you carefully check your application.
  • Applications made outside the application period are invalid. Late submissions, regardless of the reason (e.g., data was submitted late or was not sent because of issues with your computer or there was too much web traffic), will not be accepted. Try to apply as early as possible as the website may be busy on the last day of the application period.
