University profile The University of Lausanne is a higher teaching and research institution located in French-speaking Switzerland where 17,700 students are currently enrolled, of whom 25% come from abroad. It is composed of seven faculties:

The teaching language is French, with undergraduate English-taught courses in Business and Economics, and English-taught graduate programmes in Business, Economics, Geology and Biology. French language courses are also offered.
The UNIL main campus is located on the shores of the Lake Geneva, in a beautiful green landscape with splendid views of the Alps.

Dormitory information

UNIL guarantees access to student housing for overseas exchange students, provided that they follow the instructions and meet the deadlines communicated by UNIL and the student residences. Following their official online registration at UNIL, students will receive detailed information on the housing application process, including the relevant instructions and deadlines. For students who miss the deadlines for applying for university accommodation, finding housing will be their own responsibility. The Service of Social Affairs and Student Mobility may provide guidance and support with their housing search.

University halls of residence are open to Bachelor's and Master's students.
