University profile The University of Lausanne is a higher teaching and research institution located in French-speaking Switzerland where 15,600 students are currently enrolled, of whom 25% come from abroad. It is composed of seven faculties:
1. Theology and Study of Religions
2. Law, Criminal Justice and Public Administration
3. Arts
4. Social and Political Sciences
5. Business and Economics
6. Biology and Medicine
7. Geosciences and Environment
The teaching language is French, with undergraduate English-taught courses in Business and Economics, and English-taught graduate programmes in Business, Economics, Geology and Biology. French language courses are also offered.
The UNIL main campus is located on the shores of the Lake Geneva, in a beautiful green landscape with splendid views of the Alps.

Scholarship information No scholarship available
Dormitory information UNIL cannot guarantee housing for all exchange students. Priority is given to overseas exchange students. University halls of residence are open to bachelor and master students only. Students who did not get a room through our office can ask for a room rent list.
