University profile SOAS University of London is the only Higher Education institution in the UK specialising in the study of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East in a global context. *2-years validity date for IELTS/TOEFL will be counted backward from 1st September of the year intake.
(i.e. for students joining SOAS for exchange programme in September 2024, their IELTS/TOEFL will have to be taken on or after September 1st 2022.)

Dormitory information
The majority of students stay in Dinwiddy House but we have a number of different options including intercollegiate housing and other providers. If a student is coming for one term, not all providers will offer a shorter contract. Students coming for the full year have the most options and can choose depending on their preferences/budget.

▪SOASは開発学と人類学でトップクラスの大学であるため志望した。
▪大英博物館のすぐそばにあり、大学が周りに多い地域だったので落ち着いた雰囲気だった。
▪授業自体はかなりハードで、よく勉強した1年間だった。日本では講義を聞くだけだったが、留学中はチュートリアルでディスカッションを行ったりエッセイを書いたりとかなり自分から勉強する機会が多く、理解を深めることができた。
