The University welcomes students from more than 140 countries worldwide and is rated third in the UK for international student satisfaction (International Student Barometer Summer 2013). It has more than 27,800 undergraduate and postgraduate students, more than 7,000 staff, including 2,250 active researchers.

Minimum language proficiency  (UG)

・IELTS 6.0 with no section less than 5.5
・Students beginning the Study Abroad programme with an IELTS of 6.0 will be
required to take an in-sessional English Language class to help develop academic
writing skills, listening, reading, vocabulary and grammar (worth 20 SCOTCAT credits).
