| University profile | Università Ca' Foscari is Venice's first university. Established on 6 August 1868 as a "Scuola Superiore di Commercio", or business college, it was the first educational institution in Italy to offer higher education in commerce and economics. The institute still occupies its historic premises in the great Venetian-Gothic palazzo that was the home of Doge Francesco Foscari in the 15th century. The university is in the heart of Venice, a unique city with a rich historical and artistic heritage offering students a safe international environment in which to study and live. Today Ca' Foscari is a modern university offering a wide range of subjects in 4 main scientific-cultural areas: economics, languages, sciences, and humanities. |

▪イタリアは日本といろいろな点で真逆のイメージがあり（仕事に対して、家族の重要さに対して）、かつて西洋の文化と東洋の文化の中継地点であったということに魅力を感じ志望した。ヴェネツィア大学は東洋文化研究がイタリアで最も盛んな場所であり、日々イタリアの文化と日本の文化を比較する機会に恵まれた。イタリア人は人懐っこく、友だちになりやすい。また、芸術や文化に触れる機会が多く、大変刺激的だった。 |
