University profile Uppsala University is the oldest university in Scandinavia, founded in 1477.Campus Uppsala is located 70 km north of Stockholm and 30 km from the international airport Stockholm Arlanda. Campus Gotland is a separate campus in Visby on the island of Gotland, which lies in the Baltic Sea. It joined the university in 2013. The university has about 40,000 students. Uppsala University is one of the top 100 universities in the world according to major rankings.
Undergraduate programs open to exchange students All courses listed https://www.uu.se/en/study/search?category=coursesForExchangeStudents are open to exchange students, provided that they fulfil the prerequisites and have the following comments in mind:

• Business Studies - entry requirements vary considerably and are generally high. Master level courses require a finished Bachelor's degree majoring in business. Limited spaces on certain courses.
• Biomedicine - Students must have a very strong academic background. Limited spaces.
• Government - limited spaces on certain courses.
• History - limited spaces on certain courses.
• Immunology - Students must have a very strong academic background. Very limited spaces on courses.
• Law - entry requirement is a minimum of two years of completed full time Law studies.
• Medicine - Clinical Medicine courses are not offered on

university-wide exchange agreements. No entry-level courses taught in English. Students must have a strong academic background within Medicine and meet the entry requirements described in the course description.
• Natural Sciences including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Engineering - few to no entry-level courses taught in English. Students must have a very strong academic background within these subjects and meet the entry requirements described in the course description.
• Pharmacy - Students must have a very strong academic background. Limited spaces.
• Philosophy - only a few courses available with high entry requirements.
• Psychology - only a few courses, on a basic level, taught in English with very limited spaces on courses.
• Sociology - only very few courses available with high entry requirements.
• Courses from Bachelor's or Master Programmes not offered in the Course Catalogue for Exchange Students.
• Places on courses taught in Swedish for those with enough Swedish language skills can be offered if there are vacancies. Students will be notified of the decision only after the national (Swedish) admission process has been completed.
Undergraduate programs NOT open to exchange students • Sociology - no courses at the Bachelor level are taught in English
• Economics - no courses available
• Physiology and Anatomy - no courses available.
Graduate programs open to exchange students Several master's programmes taught in English are available. General requirements for admission is to have a bachelor's degree. In addition, most master's programmes have specific requirements which can vary from one programme to another. ▪ウプサラ大学は北欧で一番古い名門大学で大学を中心に発展した街。学生にとって住みやすく治安が良いことが決め手だった。
▪セミナー形式の授業が基本、授業の組み方も自由で本当にフレキシブルな授業設計となる。予習・復習をするのは当たり前、授業では自分の意見を言う、議論しあうセミナーであることは、本当にためになった。
