Undergraduate programs open to exchange students Faculty of Arts and Science courses are open to exchange students provided that they have the appropriate prerequistes and pending space. Please note availability may be limited in some departments. Students may have the option to take courses from another Faculty; however, the majority of courses must be in the Faculty of Arts and Science. Students are not permitted to enroll in courses offered by the Faculty of Law.
School of Business
Students must already be registered in the same degree program (or at least focusing on the same subject) in their home university. For Smith School of Business, it is strongly recommended that all applicants have successfully completed at least six foundation courses in Business and/or Economics at their home school.
Students admitted to Smith School of Business are able to take up to two courses per semester from the Faculty of Arts and Science courses, provided that they have the appropriate prerequisite courses. Please note availability may be limited in some courses. Students must take the majority of their courses within the faculty they are admitted to.
Undergraduate programs NOT open to exchange students Arts and Science exchange students must complete the majority of their course load in the Faculty of Arts and Science. There is limited access to courses in other faculties outside the exchange agreement. These are determined on a case by case basis. Student should be aware that registration in 4th year Arts and Science courses can be difficult.
Smith School of Business course registration for second year courses at the Smith School of Business can be very difficult. Students are not able to enroll in 100 level course or COMM 341 or COMM 401.
