University profile Pantheon-Sorbonne University, also known as "Paris 1", is one of the most renowned universities in France. Created in 1257, it is specialized in law, political science, economics, management, arts and humanities. Nearly 40,000 students are enrolled in its degree courses, from bachelor to PhD. Pantheon-Sorbonne is also a leading research center in its fields, with 1,000 teachers and researchers.

Scholarship information Students of all nationalities may apply for the French government housing assistance (France is the only country in Europe to offer this benefit). Assistance amounts are computed case by case, based on the rental amount and the student's resources.
Dormitory information Exchange students might benefit from the university housing or from the university assistance in finding a piece of accomodation. A dedicated department is at their disposal within the International Office.
Other information Students staying for longer than 3 months in France are entailed to ask for an extended-stay student visa and to pay for French Health Care System (around EUR 200 per year).
