| University profile | Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg has a history of more than 500 years. As a traditional German university, the full spectrum of academic specialties, ranging from philosophy to engineering, is available at Halle. Many prominent Japanese personalities have studied or received doctoral degrees at Halle University, for example the Christian scholar Inazo Nitobe around 1900. |

▪小さな大学街という感じで、初めて長い期間を外国で暮らす私にとっては落ち着いたちょうど良い大きさの街だった。講義、ゼミ等の授業形式にもよるが、学生がとにかくアクティブで教授との間でインタラクティブに授業が進んでいったイメージだった。 |
