University profile The University of Milan, founded in 1924, is the largest higher education institution in the region of Lombardy, with 10 Faculties, 31 Departments and about 65.000 students. The main campus is based in one of the most important Renaissance buildings in Milan, the so called "Ca' Granda", a former hospital located in the very centre of the city, while the scientific Faculties are placed in the modern district "Città Studi" in the eastern part of the city. Being the only Italian member of LERU (League of European Research Universities), the University of Milan is strongly committed to the promotion of basic research, technological innovation, teaching quality and integration with the dynamic labour market in Lombardy.
Undergraduate programs open to exchange students Incoming students from KEIO will be welcome to attend courses in Political Sciences and similar areas (Law, Language mediation and intercultural communication, Humanities). Students will be allowed to choose modules in other Faculties. You may refer to the general course catalogue of the University : https://www.unimi.it/en/education/degree-programme-courses/degree-courses-2025-2026. However, for organizational reasons, we may not be able to guarantee an complete flexibility.
Undergraduate programs NOT open to exchange students Fields unrelated to Political Sciences such as sciences and technology, medicine, etc.
Graduate programs open to exchange students Courses in Master's degree programmes may have specific prerequisites (e.g. a course like "Advanced microeconomics" may require prior knowledge in basic microeconomics or mathematics for economy), but this will be evaluated case by case.
Graduate programs NOT open to exchange students Fields unrelated to Political Sciences such as sciences and technology, medicine, etc.
