University profile Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) is a private non-profit institution founded in 1991 by the Di Tella Foundation and the Instituto Torcuato Di Tella, with support from the international philanthropic community. The mission of the University -- which opened its doors on March 11, 1992 is to educate new generations of academic, social, political and business leaders, and to enhance research and scholarship in the arts and sciences. The University is organized in schools, centers, and departments, with graduate and undergraduate programs in humanities and social sciences.

The Universidad Torcuato Di Tella recommends a high level of Spanish language proficiency in order to have a successful and rewarding semester or year at our institution.We require a minimum of two years of college level Spanish or B2 level. Students with Spanish skills below this level often struggle to comprehend lectures and seminars and keep up with the demanding weekly reading assignments that are part of each course offered here at UTDT.

Dormitory information UTDT is a commuter campus that does not have student residences. International students may request a housing list from the International Programs Office, which includes room rentals in private homes, student residences, and apartment rental services. Students are responsible for making their own housing arrangements.
