Scholarships
*This section explains scholarship opportunities for international students whose residence status is "student."
STEP 1: Complete the Scholarship Application Registration
In order to apply for scholarships, you must complete scholarship application registration within the designated period every academic year and every semester (spring and fall).

* The office is closed on weekends and holidays. We strongly recommend that you complete the registration process as soon as you can, as there may be some questions that arise during the actual registration process. * "New students" are those who enrolled Keio in September 2022. Others are "Current students."
* Registration is possible even on office closing days (Saturday, Sunday, etc.), but please note that questions or inquiries cannot be answered on the closing days. STEP 2: Apply for Scholarships Once you have completed the scholarship application registration, you can apply for scholarships offered by each foundation.
After obtaining scholarship information and carefully reviewing the application requirements, please prepare the designated application form and documents, and submit them via the designated Google Form.

Submission of copy of residence card
All international students are required to submit their residence card to the International Office of their main campus on the following occasions:
① When you enter Keio University
② When the extension of your period of stay is approved and you obtain a new residence card,
③ When a change in your status of residence is approved and you obtain a new residence card,
④ When you newly obtain "Permission to Engage in Activity other than that Permitted under the Status
of Residence Previously Granted"
Please attach a photograph, etc., that shows both your student ID card (after acquisition) and your residence card and upload it to the residence card submission form using a file name formatted as follows.
File name: [Residence card] (student ID no. name)
Example: [Residence card] (12345678 Taro Keio)
*Make sure your address is printed on the residence card.
*The 12 digits of your residence card number must be clearly shown in the image.

*The document stating that the accepting organization, etc. "is able to continue accepting the foreign national with the same activity contents as were given at the time of the application for the certificate of eligibility" will be issued upon your request via the following Google Form. Please note that the request for this document should only be made after you have determined the date you plan to apply for a visa, otherwise the document issued by Keio will be set to expire three months after being issued. Before making the request, please contact the nearest Japanese embassy or consulate in your area and confirm the status of visa applications, visa issuance, and required documents.
