4. Notification of Results
Successful applicants will receive a "Letter of Provisional Acceptance" from Keio University, which they must report to the Japanese diplomatic mission.
After screening your documents, MEXT Scholarship Coordinators will contact the graduate school or professor based on your Information Form regarding whether they will provisionally accept the applicant. A "Letter of Provisional Acceptance" (PDF) will be sent to the e-mail. Please note that Keio University does not guarantee that a letter will be issued to every applicant. In the event the letter cannot be issued, the MEXT Scholarship Coordinator will inform the applicant through the e-mail adress given in the "Information Form".
5. Second Screening and University Placement
MEXT determines university placement. Neither the applicant nor Keio University has authority to make this decision or influence its outcome. Additionally, a "Letter of Provisional Acceptance" does not guarantee an assignment to Keio University.
* Entrance to a Master's / Doctoral program *
We strongly recommend carefully reading the application guide of the graduate school you would like to enroll in before coming to Japan. This is because some graduate schools require you to submit a "Certificate of Graduation" issued within three months before the deadline of the graduate school application, an original copy of your TOFEL score, etc. It will be much easier for you to prepare them before coming to Japan.
Information on admission is available online on either the Keio University website admissions page or Keio University Graduate Schools Admissions page.
