1. University Accommodation for International Faculty and Scholars
Keio University offers accommodation for its international faculty and scholars such as visiting research fellows to help contribute to the internationalization of its education and research.
Applications and requests for housing can be made through your faculty liaison at Keio University.
Eligibility
Individuals appointed as visiting scholars or faculty members by Keio University are eligible. (Please ask your faculty liaison whether or not you are eligible to apply.)

2. Tokyo International Exchange Center (TIEC)
Tokyo International Exchange Center (TIEC) is a facility that provides quality living spaces and international exchange opportunities for outstanding graduate students and researchers who are from Japan and abroad.

Eligibility
Outstanding foreign researchers who register to Japanese universities or research institutes, have a "Professor," "Researcher," "Cultural Activities," "Highly Skilled Professional (i)(a)," or "Highly Skilled Professional (ii)(foreign researchers who are engaged in the activity of (a))" status of residence, can commute from TIEC to the universities or institutes, and hold a doctoral degree awarded in less than 8 years at the time of application (excluding full-time staff of a university or research institute hired for an indefinite period of time). The residence period at the TIEC shall be 30 days or more.
※Applicants who are expected to meet the above conditions at the start of their tenancy and can be certified and recommended by the university or research institution they plan to attend may also apply. (Starting tenancy 30 days prior to the start of enrollment is possible.)
※Those who are on leave of absence or those who will be on leave of absence after moving in are not eligible to apply.
How to apply
- Submit the necessary documents through Keio University.
- Refer to Keio Internal Guidelines and contact the Keio Housing Coordinator via email ( keio_dormitory@info.keio.ac.jp) before applying.
