Information for Current Students in Spring Semester 2021  

The international students who have not yet entered Japan after enrollment, please be sure to check the following contents before coming to Japan.
It explains necessary procedures after arrival in Japan.

Scholarships

*International students who wish to apply for scholarships in the spring semester of the 2021 academic year must complete the Scholarship Application Registration within the designated period.
 
To apply for scholarships through the university, you must complete both [STEP 1] and [STEP 2] below. It is not acceptable to apply for scholarships with only one of them.
 
【STEP 1】To Complete the Scholarship Application Registration
In order to apply for scholarships, you must complete the Scholarship Application Registration within the designated period every academic year and every semester (spring and fall).
Please be sure to check the web page below for information on how to complete procedures.

CURRENT Students must submit the application documents via the designated Google form【from March 24 (Wed) to 3 PM on 31 (Wed).】
*Please note that the period is different for NEW students entering in April 2021 academic year .
Inquiries can be accepted at any time before this period.
Please be sure to prepare the application documents as soon as possible so that you can submit them within this period.

【STEP 2】To Apply for Scholarships
Once you have completed the Scholarship Application Registration, you can apply for scholarships offered by each foundation.
After obtaining scholarship information and carefully reviewing the application requirements, please prepare the designated application form and documents, and submit them from the designated Google form.

Status of Residence (Visa Information)

1.Students who are newly entering or re-entering Japan

The regulations regarding new entry and re-entry into Japan may change without prior warning.Please be sure to check the following pages for the latest information.

A new handling regarding the period of validity of the Certificate of Eligibility(COE) is currently being taken.
The COE issued between January 1, 2020 and July 31, 2021 will be deemed to be valid until January 31, 2022.

*The document stating that the accepting organization, etc. “is able to continue accepting the foreign national with the same activity contents as were given at the time of the application for the certificate of eligibility” will be issued upon your request from the following Google form. Please note that the request has to be made only after you have determined the date you plan to apply for a visa, otherwise the documents issued by Keio expire after three months of issuance. Before your request, please contact the nearest Japanese embassy or consulate in your area and confirm visa application status, visa issuance status, and required documents for visa application.

2. Students who plan to return to university from a temporary leave of absence

Students who plan to return to university from a temporary leave of absence and come back to Japan must first obtain a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and then apply for a visa.
Please contact Hiyoshi Office of Student Services (International) 3-4 months prior to your planned date of entry into Japan.
 

3. Students whose re-entry or residence card period has expired while they are outside of Japan

Students must obtain a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and then apply for a visa.

4. Students who wish to change their status of residence or change their period of stay

Students who wish to change their status of residence or extend their period of stay are required to go to the Immigration bureau and complete the procedures by themselves.
If you wish to extend your period of stay, please complete the procedures as soon as possible before your period of stay expires.
