Call for Participants: Collaboration with the Embassy of the UAE and Keio University/Arabian Nights: A Cultural Journey across Continents and Centuries
"The Arabian Nights Conference, Tokyo" will be hosted by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center (ALC) under the Department of Culture and Tourism, United Arab Emirates, in collaboration with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Tokyo and Keio University.
This event is the second in the series "A Cultural Odyssey across Continents and Centuries: From Abu Dhabi to Madrid, via Tokyo to London." The theme of the event will focus on the research conducted on Arabian Nights (One Thousand and One Nights), as well as its influence on Japanese culture. The event, which showcases the richness of Arabian culture and the Arabic language, will include lectures by Arab culture researchers, a panel discussion titled "Rethinking the One Thousand and One Nights," as well as a recital of traditional Arabic performing arts, among other planned events.
