Japanese Language Education at Keio University originated in the 1950s’ The Center for Japanese Studies manages the Japanese Language Program and Japanese language courses as a second language
at Keio undergraduate and graduate schools as well as taking the roll to support the Japanese language and culture studies at Keio University.
The Center also offers corporation to the field of Japanese language education in Japanese Literature Major at the faculty of letters.
