University profile The University of Navarra is a dynamic university with over 13,000 students enrolled in the many programs of study provided by the 15 Schools and Institutes located across five campuses: Most of the University of Navarra's facilities are based at the main campus in Pamplona; the other four campuses are located in San Sebastian, Madrid, Barcelona and New York. One of Spain's most prestigious universities, with a distinguished record in teaching and research, the University of Navarra was founded in 1952 by St Josemaria Escriva de Balaguer, the founder of Opus Dei, an institution of the Catholic Church. In national ranking produced by Spanish newspaper "El Mundo" the University of Navarra was ranked the top private University in Spain, and seventh in the General Ranking with 3 degrees awarded in first place, five in third and two in the fourth and fifth place. In addition, the "Master en Derecho de Empresa" and the "Master en Asesoría Fiscal", both from the Law Faculty were ranked first and third place respectively.
