Undergraduate programs NOT open to exchange students Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Teacher Education, Division of Information Security (Department of Cyber Defense), Art & Design and all courses in Sejong Campus.
Graduate programs open to exchange students Only the departments below “Graduate School” are allowed to exchange/visiting students except the subjects mentioned above and Business related courses (e.g. BUS, INT). The details will be given via e-mail

Minimum language proficiency  (UG)

Exchange students are not required to submit any official language results or certificates.  However, fluency either in English or Korean is required.

Students who wish to take classes in Korean: A sufficient command of Korean to follow lectures is recommended.
Students who wish to take classes in English: TOEFL iBT 70 or IELTS 5.5

Dormitory information On-campus accommodation is available but very limited. As rooms are allocated on first come first serve basis, students are advised to apply as soon as the online application opens.
Other information Credit-bearing Korean language courses are offered during the regular semesters. Free Korean language classes are available in summer/winter breaks for those completed a regular semester at KU.
