University profile Jilin University, founded in 1946, located in Changchun, the capital city of Jilin Province, is a key national comprehensive university, under the direct jurisdiction of the Chinese Ministry of Education, supported by Project 211 and Project 985. University is home to 69,000 full-time students, including over 24,000 graduate students, 43,000 undergraduate students and 2,200 international students from 105 countries. Jilin University has become the biggest university in China by its largest enrollment. It offers the programs covering 13 disciplinary categories, including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, military science and arts. In 2015, Jilin University ranked No. 11 in China's College and University Rankings, published by the China University Alumni Association. In an increasingly international society, Jilin University has set up collaborative relationships with over 240 universities and institutions from 39 countries and regions.
