University profile Fudan was established in 1905 and it has enjoyed high academic reputation both in China and around the world. It comprises 17 schools and 4 departments. The university has 57 research institutions, 80 interdisciplinary research centres and 10 attached hospitals. Fudan has nearly 30,000 students, 2,300 academic staff, of which 1,480 are professors and associate professors. Fudan Handan Campus is located in the north of Shanghai, about 45 minutes away from Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Its campus occupies an area of over 3 million square meters. It has over 130 laboratories with advanced instruments and large-scale equipment. The university library has a collection of 4.33 million volumes and is subscribed to 25,000 journals. The Department of Chinese Language and Literature has a language lab, modern literature research room and research room of Chinese traditional culture.
Undergraduate programs open to exchange students
All. Exchange student are enrolled as "普通进修生" (putong jinxiusheng) and the putong jinxiusheng can enroll in every department.

General Advanced student refers to non-degree students who study in specific majors instead of studying pure Chinese language. Students need to clarify subject or field of study in the application form. Courses may be taught in Chinese or English. Students may take 4 hours a week of Chinese language courses (electives)
Undergraduate programs NOT open to exchange students Some specific programs in department, such as "Chinese Economy and Business" and "Chinese Society and Culture" at International Cultural Exchange School.
Graduate programs open to exchange students available EMA Programs (7): Economics, Chinese Society, Chinese History and Culture, Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese Philosophy, Politics and Diplomacy, Journalism.

Scholarship information
Stipend of 1100RMB per month (4 months in total for one-semester students and 9 months for one-year student) and boarding fee waiver is available for one student. Utilities are not included.
Students are eligible to apply for BXAI scholarship.
