To all international students:
Important Notice : Abuse of cannabis and other illegal drugs
Recently, two Keio students were arrested for violating the
Cannabis Control Law.
As you may know, the usage, sale, cultivation and even
possession of cannabis is illegal in Japan and heavily punished
(imprisonment up to 5 or 7 years). International students
arrested for violation of the Cannabis Control law will face
deportation and might be forbidden from entering Japan in the
future.
Some students may start using drugs out of simple curiosity, but
keep in mind that it can affect your life in a serious way, and
that drug abuse has been linked to other crimes and is a serious
problem in society. We strongly urge you to constantly keep your
guard up and be careful about drugs.
