| The demand for homestay families is increasing, but there are few Japanese families which are prepared to serve as host families, in terms of both having available space and in terms of psychological readiness. Accordingly, it is very difficult to find a long-term host family, or even a short-term host family at the time of arrival. It is more realistic to find permanent housing in Tokyo first and then find a homestay program organized by various groups. Throughout the year, particularly during vacation periods, short-term homestay programs for international students are carried out by various organizations in Japan. Information on these programs will be posted on the bulletin board.
Home visits to Japanese families are arranged by Fujin-Mita-Kai, which is the Keio University’s alumini association. If you are interested in participating in this program, please refer to the International Center bulletin board or website.
